A Latere is a Christ Centered ministry that partners with parents to disciple the next generation. We offer a Christian, hybrid, classical education program that includes a 2-day classroom and a 3-day at home learning experience.

What is A Latere’s affiliation with its host churches?
We seek to partner with like-minded organizations who affirm our statement of faith, but are not affiliated with any one specific church.

Which days of the week does your school operate?
A Latere can operate on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule, based on the church’s preference. Teachers generally utilize the building from 7:30 AM to 4 PM each school day.
How many classrooms/spaces are necessary?
In general, A Latere needs a minimum of 3-5 classrooms, as well as access to a multi-purpose common space that could be utilized for large group activities such as chapel, lunch, and recess.

Do church classrooms need to have desks, chairs, or other materials?
We prefer to use the church’s existing furnishings. If these items are unavailable, A Latere is able to provide them, but storage space will be needed. Each classroom teacher also requires a small space to store teaching materials.
Who is responsible for set-up and clean-up?
A Latere’s volunteer team typically sets up classrooms the night before our first school day each week and tears down at the end of the second day. We’re flexible to work with each church to meet their needs and ensure the proper care and cleaning of each space.
Does A Latere pay rent?
Yes! Our team works with church leadership to negotiate a rental agreement for the needed dates and rooms that suits both parties.
Are the teachers considered employees of the church?
No. Teachers and staff members are employees of A Latere, which handles all hiring, management, and payroll.

Does A Latere carry its own liability insurance?
Yes, like many churches, we work with Brotherhood Mutual to carry liability coverage.

Is A Latere a non-profit?
Yes, A Latere is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Can our church staff team be involved in the mission?
Although not required, many of our church partners love to high-five kids at the door, participate in Chapel, or join students for an occasional lunch!
