Financial Aid Options
Need-Based Financial Aid for Tuition
Need-based financial aid, primarily in the form of grants, is available to help qualifying families cover a portion of tuition costs. These grants are awarded based on a family's demonstrated financial need.

-
Maximum Grant Amount: Grants can cover up to 25% of a student's tuition cost.
-
Primary Factor: The key determinants for the grant amount are your family's Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) and the overall demand for aid.
-
Income Threshold: Eligibility for aid generally decreases as income levels rise. For most families without significant extenuating circumstances, the income threshold for qualifying is approximately 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Application Process and Documentation
The application process requires submitting financial documents to determine eligibility and grant size:
-
Adjusted Gross Income (AGI): The application will ask for your yearly AGI, as reported on your federal tax returns.
-
Supporting Documents: You must provide copies of your most recent federal tax returns and current pay stubs.

Additional Considerations
We understand that a family's financial situation can be complex. We consider unusual financial factors that may be affecting your current ability to pay.
-
Examples of Extenuating Circumstances:
-
Recent job loss or a significant period of unemployment.
-
Significant, unreimbursed healthcare costs.
-
Other major, unforeseen financial hardships.
